LaVeeta Hamilton
Executive Director
Prior to joining Family Promise of Collin County, LaVeeta served as the Program Director for a local nonprofit in Collin County. She helped families by providing leadership and expertise in the area of self-sufficiency, programming to remove barriers, and worked closely with families in Collin County to remove the threat of eviction. In partnership with churches and other organizations, LaVeeta organized the back to school and Christmas programs, providing free school supplies along with Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts for over 500 children in Collin County. Prior to that role, LaVeeta was Family Program Director for a McKinney-based non-profit organization helping families reach their goals towards home ownership.
LaVeeta’s desire to serve the community shows through her ability to help families navigate through appropriate services, offering tools to educate and empower families and their loved ones while being a confidential resource. LaVeeta’s true passion to give a hand up and not a hand out shows through her natural ability to identify the emotional stressors while comfortably giving families the desire to improve their current situations.
LaVeeta graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling. She is committed to helping those in need and possesses the ability to work with a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, families, and adults.
Case Manager

Sharon Laird
Accounting Services
Sharon joined the staff for FPOCC in January 2014 handling, all things Accounting, IT, Grant Reporting, Systems, Golf Tournament Coordinator, and Website. She comes from the corporate world with more than 38 years of experience in Accounting, Finance and Contracts. Sharon has also been the Volunteer Coordinator for the program at her church, Stonebridge UMC, since July 2011.

Melissa Hartness
Support Services
Melissa has been the Support Services Admin for Family Promise since November 2017. She screens potential guests through phone interviews and manages the donated vehicles in our God’s Wheels Program. Melissa and her husband Jeff have 2 kids-Mason 17 and Kendall 16. They enjoy family time on
the lake. Before working at Family Promise, Melissa and her family volunteered with the program through their church, Chase Oaks Sloan Creek.

Theresa Randolphe
Family Advocate
Theresa has been with Family Promise since September 2022. A couple of days each week she talks with individuals calling into the office or contacting FPOCC by email. Her primary role as family advocate is to facilitate our families through a four-week budgeting basics class. Long live the zero-based budget! When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends sitting out on her patio enjoying warm breezes. She looks forward to starting a vegetable garden as part of her wellness journey in the near future.
